Daily Protein Calculator for Endurance Athletes
Estimate daily protein using the body-weight calculation discussed in ADDRA Labs' endurance nutrition articles. This guide makes the method readable and links to ADDRA's interactive protein calculator.
How the calculation works
ADDRA's educational content discusses 1.8g protein per kilogram of body weight per day for endurance athletes. Multiply body weight in kilograms by 1.8. For pounds, divide by 2.20462 before multiplying by 1.8.
Daily protein estimate (g) = body weight (kg) × 1.8
| Body weight | Daily protein estimate |
|---|---|
| 125lb (56.7kg) | 102g |
| 150lb (68.0kg) | 122g |
| 175lb (79.4kg) | 143g |
| 200lb (90.7kg) | 163g |

Putting the estimate into context
This is an educational estimate, not an individual prescription. Needs vary with training and other circumstances. Protein from meals and snacks all contributes to the daily total; each current ADDRA bar provides 20g protein and 3g leucine.
